About CAT
- The Common Admission Test (CAT) is an all-India test conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) as an entrance exam for admission to the Post-graduate and Fellow Programs in management courses of several management institutes all over India including the IIMs.
- The CAT score is used separately by each institute along with other parameters i.e. academic performance, work experience, group discussion, written assessment and interview performance etc. to select candidates. The weightage assigned to CAT score may differ for each institute. Candidates are advised to read the weightage, process and breakup for each institute on its respective website.
Eligibility
- The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA [45% in case of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons With Disability (PWD) categories], awarded by any University or educational institution as incorporated by an Act of the Parliament or State legislature in India or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.
- Candidates appearing for the final year of Bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed degree requirements and are awaiting results can also apply. However, it may be noted that such candidates, if selected, will be allowed to join the programme provisionally, only if they submit a certificate from the Principal / Registrar of their University/institution (issued on or before the date as stipulated by the respective IIM) stating that they have completed all the requirements for obtaining the Bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification on the date of the issue of the certificate.
- Candidates applying for CAT 2018 should fulfill any one of the following conditions:
Completed Bachelor’s degree with the required percentage of marks* Completed professional degree (CA/CS/ICWA) with required percentage*. Should be in the final year of Bachelor’s degree with required percentage*. SC / ST / PWD candidates should have minimum 45%. For General and NC-OBC candidates, minimum is 50%. - The percentage of marks obtained by the candidate would be calculated based on the practice as followed by the respective University/Institution. In case of grades / CGPA, the conversion to percentage of marks would be based on the procedure as certified by the respective University/ institution. If any University/institution confirms that there is no scheme for converting CGPA into equivalent marks, the equivalence would be established by dividing the candidate’s CGPA by the maximum possible CGPA, and multiplying the result with 100.
- IIMs may verify eligibility at various stages of the selection process, the details of which are provided at the website www.iimcat.ac. in. Applicants should note that the mere fulfilment of minimum eligibility criteria will not ensure consideration for short listing by IIMs. Candidates must declare and maintain a valid and unique email account and a phone number throughout the selection process.

CAT Syllabus & Exam Format 2018
In order to get admission in any of the IIMs, you will have to attempt the CAT (Common Admission Test). This exam in conducted every year in India by one of the IIMs on a rotation basis. Along with admission in IIMs, it is also a qualifying exam for MBA studies in the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and a few other institutions as well.There will be a lot of students preparing for this exam and it is not going to be really easy for all the IIM aspirants to qualify for this exam with best score. In order to stand out of the crowd and get admission, you need to understand the exam pattern and syllabus first. The CAT 2018 syllabus has three sections namely quantitative aptitude, verbal reasoning and data interpretation & logical reasoning.There is no specific portion in each part, that can be expected in the exam. You will have to make sure that you are mastering all three parts of the CAT exam. The basic thing to know at the beginning is the fundamentals of each part. Once you know the basics, you can start working on them till the advanced levels. Once you have revised the complete syllabus, you will have to start learning tips and tricks like shortcuts to solve the questions fast. Practice more and more previous papers and other tests to know your accuracy levels.
CAT is a computer based test, conducted in multiple cities. A candidate can select his / her test date and slot as per choice and availability.

About NMAT by GMAC

- A candidate can take NMAT up to a maximum of 3 times (first attempt plus 2 retake attempts) including no shows, if he / she wishes to. There has to be a gap of at least 15 days between two successive attempts.
- For candidates having multiple attempts, the best score (total and sectional) is considered for shortlisting purposes.
- The result for each attempt is declared separately, approximately 15 days after the test attempt.
Eligibility
- The candidate must be a graduate with 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in first attempt.
- Candidates appearing for the final year of bachelors degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed degree requirements and are awaiting results can also apply subject to clearing the final examination in first attempt with 50% aggregate marks.
- For all the Full Time programs, candidates with two or more years of post-qualification work experience will be preferred.
Test Duration & Pattern (2018)
The NMAT exam is computer-delivered and gives each candidate a randomly generated test. The number of questions, difficulty levels, and the time limit for each of the sections is predetermined and, under normal administration conditions, are the same regardless of when and where the test is administered.
The NMAT exam has three sections targeted at measuring different skills Language Skills, Quantitative Skills, and Logical Reasoning.

Note:

About SNAP
- Symbiosis National Aptitude (SNAP) is a common test for the admission to all the Post-Graduate Institutes of Symbiosis International (Deemed) University.
- While there is only one application for the SNAP test, you need to apply separately to each institute within Symbiosis International University, as per the details given on the respective website of each institute.
Eligibility
Graduates in any discipline from any Statutory University with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST candidates) for all the MBA Programmes, except the ones which require graduates with specific subject specializations (mentioned on the respective institute websites).

About CMAT

About MH-CET

About MAT
The Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is a National Entrance Test conducted by All India Management Aptitude Testing Service (AIMATS), for admission to MBA and equivalent programmes of the various participating institutes.
AIMA-MAT is usually conducted 4 times a year: generally on the first Sunday of February, May, September and December. The list of institutes that use the AIMA-MAT results varies from test to test.

About IBSAT
- IBSAT is a Computer Based Test (CBT), consisting of multiple choice questions. IBSAT is of 2 hours duration and is aimed at testing the applicant’s ability in quantitative techniques, data interpretation, data adequacy, vocabulary, analytical reasoning and reading comprehension.
- IBSAT is conducted by The ICFAI Foundation For Higher Education (Declared as a Deemed-to-be-University under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956), for students seeking admission to the following programs:
- MBA/PhD programs offered by IBS Hyderabad, the ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education

- Candidates not meeting the eligibility criteria of English medium in graduation have to submit the TOEFL/ NELT/ IELTS score by May 31, 2018.
- Applicants in their final year bachelor’s degree course are also eligible to apply, provided they complete their graduation requirements (including practical examinations / viva / assignments) before May 31, 2018. The last date for submission of proof of graduation is November 01, 2018.
- PhD Program in Management (Full-time/Part-time) Graduation (any discipline) with 50% and above marks with English as a medium of instruction And Postgraduation in Management (Full time with specialization in Marketing, Finance, Human Resource Management and Operations from an UGC approved University with 55% and above marks); OR Professional qualification like CFA/CA/CWA/CS with 55% and above marks.
- PhD Program in Economics (Full-time) Graduation with 50% and above marks AND post-graduation in Economics or allied discipline with 55% and above marks All applicants should have completed a minimum of 17 years of education (on 10+2+3+2 or 10+2+4+2 basis). Candidates not meeting the eligibility criteria of English medium in graduation and/or post-graduation have to submit the TOEFL/ NELT/ IELTS score by May 31, 2018. Applicants who have completed their graduation/ Post graduation on part time, distance mode or online mode are not eligible for PhD program of IBS Hyderabad.
